What is a Jumpbook

A jumpbook is an electronic form of printed textbook. These digital books contain all of the same pages and illustrations as the printed version in full colour.

How to purchase in the store?

Take the Jumpbook tag to the register. The cashier will scan the Jumpbook tag like any other textbook. Your receipt will print instructions to access the jumpbooks website. YOU MUST KEEP YOUR RECEIPT TO RECEIVE YOUR JUMPBOOK!

How to purchase online at concordia.ca/bookstore?

Add a Jumpbook to your shopping cart like any other textbook. They are denoted as optional and have (E-TEXT-BOOK) in the title. After we process your order you will receive a receipt that comes with your invoice that will have printed instructions and your access codes for the Jumpbooks website. YOU MUST KEEP YOUR RECEIPT TO RECEIVE YOUR JUMPBOOK!

Jumpbooks Pros and Cons

SAVE TREES! Many books have two styles to choose from. A web version allows you to access and use your Jumpbooks from any computer connected to the internet. A downloadable version allows you to download a single copy onto a single computer, which can then be used while offline. You can search, highlight and make notes on your Jumpbooks. Printing is generally limited to the number of pages in the book (i.e. every page can be printed once) and will be in full color if you choose. Jumpbooks are not returnable once you redeem the access code into your account and begin the download or access process. Jumpbooks cannot be sold during textbook buyback or resold or swapped to other students. Most jumpbooks expire within 180 - 360 days.

Creating an account

At the Jumpbooks website, first time users will create a username and password for maintaining all of their Jumpbooks. Once the account is created and you are signed in, follow the instructions to redeem your access code. You must use the transaction number found at the top of your receipt and the Basket ID from the bottom of your receipt to redeem your jumpbook. Follow all other instructions on the jumpbooks website to select which version you wish to use and access your content. All cusomer support is provided through the Jumpbooks website.

Free electronic books provided in partnership with Campus eBookstore. All books are in "Digital Study Versions" (DSV), which were created with a DRM-free ePub format -- useable in most third-party ebook readers (like the Sony Reader).

We recommend using Adobe Digital Editions (free, available for Windows and Mac) as an ePub reader and library manager. It should be installed before downloading any eBooks.

Once an eBook is downloaded, you can contact the Concordia Digital Store for getting a print version made for you.
