Simplifying the process in order to reduce turnaround time between receipt of the application and the taking of a decision, without sacrificing academic standards and final document requirements related to the decision.

Manpower breakdown: 13 part-timers current system Our system: 10 (6 A&Sc, 1 Comm/Admin, 1Engr/Comp Sci, 1 Fine Arts, 1 International) 3 people saved = 105 hrs/week X $7/hr = $735/week $735 X 1.37 (std. Multiplier of benefits/costs to hiring) = $1006.95 savings

To find a way for the Office of Alumni Affairs to continue to serve their "customers" (namely alumni and certain internal constituents) in light of continued budget cut-backs, increased demands for activities and decreased attendance.

Solutions
Reduction of number of Board meetings per year and changing time of meetings. Reduction of number of Committee meetings and changing time of meetings. Provide meeting skills training for volunteers and time management skills for staff. Keep staff attendence restricted to those that are essential at Alumni events. Alter advertising/promotion to save individual mailing costs.
