The IST Bursary Program is a means of financial assistance. Bursaries range from $500 to $1,000 and are awarded on the basis of both scholastic merit and financial need. </p> <p class="content">Graduate students (full-time status, paying international fees) apply for this funding via the  Concordia University Partial Graduate Tuition Scholarship for International Students which can be accessed from a quick link from the School of Graduate Studies homepage <a href="http://graduatestudies.concordia.ca/" target="_blank">http://graduatestudies.concordia.ca/</a> <br /><b>Note: The deadline of this program is September 30, 2009.</b></p> <p class="content"><b>ELIGIBILITY:</b></p> <ul class="content"> <li>All currently enrolled undergraduate full-time International students paying international student fees.</li> <li>Students with demonstrated financial need (students applying to this program must undertake a formal and confidential process to demonstrate their need to the Financial Aid and Awards Office).</li> <li>Students in academic good standing.</li> </ul> <p class="content"><b>Application Forms:</b><br /> The bursary application form is now available online through the <a href="http://myconcordia.ca" target="_blank">MyConcordia Portal</a>.</p> <p class="content"><b>Application Deadline: October 15, 2009 at 5:00 pm (for applications and supporting documents)</b></p> <p class="content"><b>Supporting Documents:</b><br /> Please ensure that each piece of supporting document has your student ID number in the upper right hand corner.</p> <p class="content">Mail your supporting documentation to:</p> <blockquote> <p class="content"><i>Concordia University<br /> Financial Aid and Awards Office<br /> c/o: International Student Tuition Bursary Program<br /> 1455 Boulevard de Maisonneuve West, Rm. We are located at 1400 de Maisonneuve West, (between Bishop and Mackay Streets and Metro: Guy-Concordia) in room LB-085.</p> <p class="content">Whether delivered in person, or mailed in, your supporting documentation must reach our office no later than October 15, 2009.</p> <p class="content"><b>Selection Process:</b><br /> Applicant files for the IST Bursary Program will be subject to preparation by the Financial Aid and Awards Office, then a holistic review by members of the Selection Committee will be conducted for the purpose of finding the best, most widely-supported, candidates from among the applicant pool.</p> <p class="content">The holistic appreciation takes into account:</p> <ul class="content"> <li>academic standing/performance</li> <li>the student's level of financial need</li> <li>issues or conditions made evident through the various statements applicants are required to provide</li> </ul> <p class="content">Please note that we anticipate applications will outnumber available funding.</p> <p class="content">The selection committee's decisions are binding.</p> <p class="content"><b>Notification date:</b><br /> The IST Bursary selection committee will finalize decisions regarding applications and communicate results, via e-mail, in early December 2009. </p> <p class="content"><b>Payment dates:</b><br /> If you are selected to receive an IST Bursary, you will receive a bursary valued between $500 to $1,000.
